Assistant Estimator

Location: Leicestershire (Covering projects Nationwide based from Head Office)

Client: Main Contractor

Projects: Healthcare specialist Fit-Out / Refurb (plus some commercial / education)

Salary: £32,000 - £42,000 (DOE) + PACKAGE (See below)

* Our client is a Main Contractor working in the Healthcare, Commercial & Education sectors - projects up to circa £10m each

* The ideal Assistant Estimator will aid our existing Pre-Construction team in the production of competitive tender submissions specifically for their Turnkey Imaging work stream, using a combination of trade package subcontract enquiries and first-principal pricing methods.

* Experience working on refurb projects either via a trade background or previous estimating positions would be a distinct advantage – Note: Candidates with varying levels of experience will be considered inc Estimators).

* Excellent IT Skills required (in particular Microsoft office)

* In return on top of the basic salary on offer the successful Assistant Estimators package will include: Company Car / allowance + Laptop + Phone + Pension + Eyecare Scheme + Long service awards

* There will also be a clear route of progression for the successful Assistant Estimator to progress into an Estimator position.

* Candidates wishing to apply should ideally have;

* A good understanding of both JCT & NEC Forms of contract

* Be degree qualified in a QS / Construction related qualification

* Candidates wishing to apply MUST have;

* Eligibility to achieve enhanced DBS check (which will be obtained by the company as part of onboarding) due to the nature of the projects delivered.

* Due to projects being location Nationwide occasional travel/overnight lodging may be required so the suitable candidate should be willing & able to accommodate this
