About the Role We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Technician to join our team in Bedford. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a competitive salary of £44,000 per annum and a Monday-to-Friday day shift schedule, providing a great work-life balance.
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring our fleet of heavy goods vehicles is maintained to the highest standards, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of our business.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on HGVs and associated trailers.
Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
Conduct pre-MOT inspections, ensuring all vehicles meet required safety standards.
Complete documentation accurately, including service reports and inspection records.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Collaborate with the team to maintain workshop efficiency and productivity.Requirements
Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent).
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Full UK driving license (HGV license is desirable but not essential).What We Offer
