Job Summary:

We are representing a client who is seeking a qualified RICS Chartered Building Surveyor to undertake a variety of residential property surveys. The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to take on a leadership role, contribute to the strategic direction of the company, and drive business growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter looking to develop their career and eventually manage their own business unit within the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct detailed property surveys including Building Surveys, Homebuyer Reports, and Condition Reports for residential properties.

* Assess structural integrity and identify defects, providing detailed reports and recommendations to clients.

* Advise clients on property maintenance, repairs, and improvements.

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building regulations, health and safety standards, and property legislation.

* Develop and implement strategies to attract new business and expand the company's client base.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, estate agents, solicitors, and other stakeholders.

* Contribute to the overall growth strategy of the company, including business development and marketing initiatives.

Requirements:

* Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

* A minimum of 5 years of experience in building surveying, with a strong background in both residential and commercial properties.

* Excellent report writing skills, with attention to detail and clarity.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to run and grow a business.

* Proficient in using relevant surveying software and tools.

* Valid driving license and willingness to travel to various sites as required.

Desirable:

* Experience in business development and client relationship management.

* Established network of industry contacts.
