Facilities and Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias)

Based in Derby – 3 Month Contract

Monday to Fridays Day Shift

 PAYE £32.33 Per Hour or £35ph Umbrella

Largest manufacture of skin care, cleaning and hygiene products for professional markets. Following the success of previous contracts a new opportunity is available. The business is now looking for a facilities Maintenance Engineer to ensure the upkeep of the building and the operation and maintenance of mechanical pumps. The day-to-day responsibilities of the Facilities Maintenance Engineer will involve the following.

Perform routine maintenance of building facilities and systems (lighting, HVAC, Fire alarms, etc
Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment with a focus on pumps
Strip, rebuild, and test pumps as required
Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise downtime  
Respond to breakdowns and emergencies efficiently
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
Collaborate with other engineers and departments as needed
The Facilities Maintenance Engineer must possess the following skills and experience.

Previous experience in facilities maintenance and mechanical engineering
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, particularly pumps
Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Mechanical engineering qualification preferred
The benefits of this contract are the following.

Monday to Friday Day shifts
Minimum of 40 hours per week available
