Motor Claims Handler

Time Recruitment is proud to represent a growing company in their search for a Motor Claims Handler to join their team in Solihull. This is a key role within the organisation, responsible for managing all aspects of claims handling and accident-related interactions with driver partners, passengers, and solicitors. The successful candidate will ensure that claims are processed efficiently from first notification of loss (FNOL) through to completion while maintaining compliance with legal and company regulations.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with motor claims experience to contribute to the smooth operation of the claims process, resolve complex claims, and support the company's focus on customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all interactions related to claims handling and accidents, including liaising with driver partners, passengers, solicitors, and insurers.
Build and maintain key relationships with external customers and business partners, as well as internal teams.
Oversee debt recovery for complex or aged claims (over 60 days) and manage your own claims.
Communicate with all parties involved in a claim, including driver partners, third-party drivers, insurance companies, witnesses, etc.
Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring you understand customer needs and deliver effective solutions.
Oversee claims from FNOL to completion, ensuring speed and efficiency of information transfer while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations (FCA, DPA, ABI, MIB).
Utilise the Proclaim claims handling system for processing and managing claims.
Recommend solicitors to driver partners when appropriate.
Manage on- and off-hires of vehicles and assist with fleet-related issues when necessary.
Accurately input and maintain data in relevant databases and spreadsheets.
Ensure the organisation maintains ISO27001 certification and complies with high standards of Information Security.
What You'll Need:
Previous experience in the insurance industry, specifically in motor claims.
Knowledge of industry regulations and legislation.
Understanding of complaints and recommendation procedures.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and conflicting priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A full UK driving licence.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
