We are looking for a Generator Technician for our NOV facility in Great Yarmouth that will take responsibility for supporting and servicing all products and clients for NOV’s Portable Power business within Europe.
Your existing knowledge within electrical or mechanical servicing of diesel driven generators and ancillary equipment will be critical to your success in this role. If you have the skills and experience to match this role, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities of a Generator Technician:
* Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, enhancements, and refurbishment of equipment.
* Conduct P&ID walk downs, electrical completion checks, factory acceptance tests, function/loop checks, instrument checks, and site acceptance tests.
* Operate rental and sale packages in accordance with NOV procedures.
* Collaborate with Workshop Supervisor, project teams, management, clients, and vendors on operational activities.
* Prepare, review, and complete work orders for operational activities.
* Provide after-sales services, including inspections, spare parts management, and technical advice.
* Participate in the on-call rota to offer industry-leading service support.
* Based at Great Yarmouth workshop, with travel to offshore/onshore sites at short notice when required.
Qualifications Generator Technician:
Essential:
* Experience in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
* Electrical knowledge in installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance environments, including offshore.
* Ability to interpret and mark up engineering drawings.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Desirable:
* Knowledge of industry standards.
* City & Guilds 2382-18 18th Edition.
* City & Guilds HV Switching & System Control 0672.
* COMPEX certification.
* Experience with Deep Sea control systems.
* PLC programming skills.
* Familiarity with Cummins, Iveco, and Perkins engines.
* Experience with diesel and gas-driven generators.
