Unite People are working with a tier one construction contractor to hire a Senior Site Engineer, focusing delivering commercial and industrial projects on a national-basis.
You will be working with National team on schemes ranging from £10m - £100m in value, as part of multi-disciplined national contractor that are renowned for their quality of projects and reputation. You will benefit from working on an exciting mixture of schemes with a team that has excellent staff retention.
The ideal Senior Site Engineer will be able to demonstrate experience working on either civils/ infrastructure projects, or traditional building schemes. You will have a proven history of both hands-on Site Engineer experience, as well as providing technical support to projects, value engineering, and preferably mentor-ship of junior Engineers.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and have a keen eye for detail, proficient in health and safety and understanding the whole build process. The right candidate should be determined to see the project through from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
* Provide technical expertise and guidance to the project team.
* Have input with the onsite Engineering team, and in-house design team
* Conduct regular inspections to ensure work is being carried out to the highest quality standards.
* Implement and enforce quality control measures on-site.
* Be able to provide QA and support to setting out Engineers
* Collaborate with the project team to resolve any quality-related issues promptly.
* Lead the engineering aspect of site operations, mentoring and directing site engineers and/or a graduate.
Qualifications:
* CSCS
* SMSTS (Preferable)
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
* Proven experience as a Senior Site Engineer in the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
* Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
