About the Role

We are looking for a couple of experienced Sub Agents to join our Highways Structures Team on the Highways improvement project based in Gloucester. These roles offer a unique opportunity to play a critical role in managing and delivering key sections of a major infrastructure project, ensuring the successful completion of highway structures.
These positions are operating Inside IR35, with an initial contract period of 6-12 months, with the potential for extension based on project progress.

Key Responsibilities

Project Oversight: Manage specific sections of the project, ensuring all activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the work of site engineers, foremen, and subcontractors, ensuring that all site operations are carried out safely and effectively.
Planning & Coordination: Develop and implement detailed work plans, ensuring alignment with the overall project programme. Coordinate with other teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Quality Control: Ensure that all work meets the specified standards by conducting regular inspections and addressing any quality issues promptly.
Health & Safety: Promote a strong safety culture on site, ensuring that all team members comply with health and safety regulations and that any risks are properly managed.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as a key point of contact for client representatives, project managers, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication at all times.
Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and quality documentation. Report regularly to the Project Manager on the status of your section.

Key Requirements

Experience: Extensive experience as a Sub Agent on highways or large-scale infrastructure projects, with a strong background in managing structural works.
Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Professional qualifications (e.g., MICE) are highly desirable.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management abilities, with a proven track record of successfully overseeing site teams and delivering complex projects.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction processes, engineering principles, and relevant standards.
Compliance: Familiarity with IR35 regulations and the operational requirements for roles within this framework.
