We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, personable and proactive Conference and Events Assistant to join a unique and iconic venue based in Birmingham City Centre.
Working as part of a very close knit and friendly team, as Conference and Events Assistant you will have full responsibility for ensuring the operational duties and catering requirements for all conferences and events across several rooms and spaces are delivered. You will ensure rooms are setup to high standards for a varied programme of private events and corporate events per specifications you have received from the Sales and Events team. You will also engage with zero-hour workers and agency staff, holding responsibility for managing and guiding staff where necessary to ensure a seamless service is delivered for your guests.
Warm, friendly, proactive, and with an ability to build relationships easily with clients and internal departments alike, you will be looking for a busy Conference and Events Assistant role where you can truly let your personality shine. You will ideally have experience in hospitality and be comfortable delivering a high volume of events, ranging in scale from Private Dinners, Conferences, Meetings and Special Events.
Providing full support to the wider team with anything that may be required, as the Conference and Events Assistant you will be the heart of the organisation, ensuring the everyday operations flow smoothly. You will ideally have a minimum of one years’ experience in a Conference and Events Assistant setting and be able to demonstrate a passion for events throughout your career. With a no job too big or too small attitude to your role, you will happily turn your hand to anything that is needed, working collaboratively with departments across the business.
