All About the Role

We have a key career opportunity available for a driven, passionate Business Development Sales Executive to manage customer expectations and increase sales with a strong portfolio of current customers, whilst bringing on board new ones. Building long term mutually beneficial and profitable relationships. This is an in-house role and for the right candidate, progression to Business Development Manager over the next 12-18 months which will include face to face visits, ( fully expensed Company vehicle will be provided at this time )

Specific tasks include:

Strive to increase sales, within the constraints of operational capacity, that seek to secure profitable new market share and gross margin growth.
Lead negotiations with potential customers and build relationships to maximise commercial opportunities with them.
Process sales enquiries / orders and see all administration through to completion.
Manage colleagues’ sales ledgers during holidays, and provide sales ledger cover where needed
Be an ambassador for high customer service standards that seek to build customer retention levels.

You will have the passion, drive, and confidence to work within the business in a collaborative, creative way.

Essential Skills for the role:

Previous business development/ sales experience within a demanding sales environment, ideally steel related or within a construction background and have a proven record of building up B2B accounts and delivering results.
A strong understanding of the sales process.
Builds relationships quickly, has a proactive attitude & approach.
Thrives off working to targets and KPI’s.
Can drive & has a full UK driving licence.
