My client are a well established and privately owned manufacturing company and have been growing substantially over recent years. They are a tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry and are looking for an experienced strategic buyer to step into a Senior position and look to make substantial cost savings and procurement process improvements. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a thriving tier 1 manufacturer and progress through the business.

Responsibilities

* Implement procurement procedures and processes

* Develop relationships with new and existing suppliers

* Global supplier benchmarking

* Source new suppliers overseas and locally

* Analyse costs and make savings where possible

* Negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers

* Monitor supplier performance

* Source key components/materials from drawings/BoMs

About you

* Proficient strategic procurement experience

* CIPS qualified

* Experiene sourcing from drawings/BoMs

* Experience working in a manufacturing environment

* Can demonstrate history of negotiation and cost savings

* In depth knowledge of strategic procurement processes

* Ideally from an automotive/metal fabrication background

* Experience of working to KPIs
