Elementa is recruiting for a Pastoral Support Worker for a secondary school in the Kingswood area of Bristol.
Your role is to ensure the welfare, safety, attendance, academic engagement and emotional wellbeing of the young people within the academy. They will promote and model the Academy’s culture of high-expectation and achievement and assist in ensuring the smooth running of the academy on a day to day basis. This will support in providing an excellent setting in which students can maximise learning opportunities and overcome learning barriers.
Experience in a similar role is desired, or relevant experience in a school setting, with knowledge and understanding or process and procedures in education. The contract is short-term to begin with, until the end of November, with the possibility of this continuing after.
A DBS on the update service would be preferable, to allow a quicker start time due to potential delays with new applications.
