The role – 1:1 Teaching Assistant

I am working with a SEN school based in Lambeth that are looking for a new 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team! In this role you will be working on a one – to – one basis with a student in year 5, you must be an approachable, enthusiastic and confident person with the ability to build strong relationships with staff and students. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant you must have a strong understanding of working with Autism and working with challenging behaviour. You will be required to work in and out of class with the student and will be working under the direction of the class teacher. To be considered for this role you must have recently completed safeguarding training and be immediately available for a long – term full – time role.

The school is a SEN school based in Lambeth that caters for children aged 5 – 16 years old. They hold therapy and a therapeutic approach at the heart of everything they do, understanding that if pupils feel emotionally and mentally well, they can play and learn effectively. At the school assemblies and extra-curricular clubs are provided at the end of every school day, and regular educational trips enhance the curriculum further. They have a local London Underground Station and many bus routes.
