Job Specification: Industrial Electrician (Contract) – Sunderland

Position: Industrial Electrician (Contract)
Location: Sunderland
Rate: £25 per hour
Contract Duration: Until the end of the year
Working Hours: 50 hours per week (potential for overtime)
IR35 Status: Outside IR35 (Ltd or Umbrella)

Key Responsibilities:

* Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment.

* Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.

* Work on industrial automation systems, including PLCs, drives, and control systems.

* Conduct electrical inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

* Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.

* Collaborate with mechanical engineers, technicians, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.

* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

Essential Requirements:

* Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician, with a focus on industrial automation systems.

* Ability to install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and automation equipment.

* Electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, or equivalent).

* Experience working in industrial settings, such as manufacturing, automotive, or similar.

* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and instrumentation.

Desirable Qualifications:

* JIB Card (beneficial but not essential).

* Familiarity with Sunderland industrial sites or experience in similar regional projects.

Additional Information:

* This contract is outside of IR35, so you can work through your Ltd company or via an Umbrella company.

* 50 hours per week guaranteed, with the possibility of additional overtime depending on project demands
