Job Title: Multi Venue Bar Manager

Location: Selsey

Salary: £29000

Bee Happy Recruitment are working alongside a holiday park with social and sporting facilities in West Sussex. The business consists of a holiday park with 296 chalets, including a swimming pool and Cabana social club and bar. In addition, a golf club with a 9-hole historic course and clubhouse. They are seeking a Bar Manager to oversee the daily running of the two bars at the Golf club & Cabana club.

Please note this role is an annualised contract role, you will be paid the same monthly salary, but in the winter you may work less than 40 hours a week and in the summer you may have to do more than 40 hours a week due to the busier periods.

Skills & Key Responsibilities:

* Manage the business aspects of the bar, such as keeping a current alcohol license, working with suppliers, taking inventory, reordering supplies, managing budgets and setting goals.

* Creating effective rotas and quickly resolving conflicts to ensure that bar is well covered during peak hours.

* Overseeing a team of 7.

* Lead and supervise the bars team to always deliver an excellent service.

* Ensure team has great knowledge of the products.

* Train the team to look for opportunities for incremental sales (upselling)

* Ensure all public areas are clean and safe.

* Where team members are unable, resolve any complaints in a polite, empathetic and calm manner, ensuring owners and holidaymakers are delighted at the outcome.

* Setting and enforcing quality and safety controls.

* Planning and taking part in promotional events.

* Diffusing tense situations between guests or team members to prevent possible safety or legal issues, informing security team, if needed.

* Maintaining a fun, safe atmosphere for all owners and holidaymakers.

Experience:

* 1+ Bar management experience

* Cellar management

* PointOne or similar Epos experience

* Excellent levels of communication

* Leadership & team building skills

* Strong motivational skills

* Able to work weekends and unsociable hours

* Computer literate

* Numeracy skills

* Commitment to deliver service excellence

Shift Patterns: Thursday – Monday, 8-hour shift. Tuesdays & Wednesdays off. (This will change once a assistant bar manager is also hired and will be competent to run the bar)
