Precision Engineering CNC Machinist

The company’s precision-led services are seen as some of the best in the market and your role will be to provide the very best precision engineering skills to their customers across the UK and Europe.

The business is commutable from York, Leeds, Ripon or Harrogate and is a great opportunity to join a dedicated team who take pride in their work.

Required Experience:

· Experienced tool room operative within the engineering sector

· Excellent CNC/manual milling and turning skills

· Capable of reading complex engineering drawings

· Over 3 years’ experience of manual milling

· Over 3 years’ experience CNC setting and operation but full training will be given.

· Understanding CNC controls

· Strong understanding of providing accuracy and quality

· Must have an eye for attention to detail, flexibility and have a team player mentality

· Due to location: full driving license/own transport

Useful Experience

·Understanding of CAD/CAM (Autodesk) ideally Fusion 360 but full training will be given

· Familiar with Heidenhien & Fanuc controls and programming

Experience in engineering a wide range of specialist materials would be an advantage:

* S275 & S355 Structural Steels

* High tensile steel such as EN19T/EN24T

* Tool Steels H13 & P20

* Many Case hardening Steels

* Stainless Steel 303, 304, 316, Duplex

* Aluminium, Brass, Bronze, Acetal etc
