Fixed Term 20 months contract

We are recruiting for Finance Apprentices to work across a range of teams within Devon Finance Services. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to participate in our Step-In Apprenticeship Programme.

The duration of the contract will be 20 months. Apprentices will work towards achieving a qualification in Business Administration (Level 3) or AAT Accounting Technician (Level 3). This will be supported by a combination of training and practical work experience.

The role of Finance and Public Value Apprentice provides the suitable candidates with the opportunity to rotate around 3 different departments within Finance and Public Value to gain experience in different areas.

We have around 15 Finance Apprentices who are all at different stages of their apprenticeship journey. This provides networking, support and buddy opportunities for new apprentices.

We offer a highly competitive starting salary of £22,737 - £23,114 per annum, 26 days holiday, flexible working arrangements, training and entry into a pension scheme.

Applicants should be:

* Keen and enthusiastic to learn and motivated to succeed

* Interested in learning more about a range of finance services within Local Government and how it might meet your future career aspirations

* Able to work well as part of a team

* Keen to network and communicate with other apprentices

* Strong communication skills (Both written and verbal)

* Willing to provide excellent service to the people of Devon and understand the importance of this

* Dedicated to achieving their qualification through their apprenticeship study and placements

* Of suitable academic ability i.e., minimum qualifications of grade C (4) GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths
