A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Manager to join a UK known manufacturer in the Somerset Area!
With no day ever being the same the Production Manager role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class organisation.
Role & Responsibilities:
Lead the manufacturing functions on site to meet customers requirements
Responsible for understanding the qualities of materials and machinery across the site ensuring smooth running whilst driving the implementation of lean working methods
Managing a team of engineers - appraisals / 1 to 1s / disciplinaries etc
Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks
Production planning and cost reporting
Help to implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principles
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Experience working in a plastic or rubber moulding environment - experience with silicone and polyurethane highly desirable
Experience and knowledge working with ERP systems
Understanding of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning, Kaizen and Lean manufacturing
Strong man management experience
Good understanding of ISO9001, ISO 12001 and IOSH/NEBOSH
Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree educated
