The Opportunity
Given increased project expansion, our client is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join their dynamic and ambitious team and take Responsibility of all mechanical testing and documentation completion during the commissioning phase.

This role has been deemed of IR35

Your duties and responsibilities will be
As a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the execution of all mechanical testing and documentation completion during the commissioning phase.
Organise, execute and witness all mechanical inspections on pipe work, vessels and equipment.
Create all documentation for mechanical activities during the commissioning phase including site hydrotesting, pipework cleaning/flushing, leak testing, pump alignment and lubricant/barrier fill.
Witness boxing up of all vessels and any packing installation in construction phase.
Support the system owners to complete associated activities to the approved schedule.
Ensure mechanical vendor support is in place.
Organise all mechanical vendor package personnel onsite when required.
Ensure all mechanical commissioning spares are listed, purchased and stored correctly.
Assist as required in the management of commissioning schedule including progress and tracking.
Attend engineering reviews when required.
Manage and supervise mechanical commissioning technician.
Act as interface point to site mechanical maintenance department
Participate in HAZOP 4 & 5 studies.
Punch list mechanical assets on allocated systems.
Assist in the creation of commissioning procedures.
Assist in the identification of training requirements for activities associated with the commissioning phase.
Ensure all mechanical equipment is being preserved in-line with preservation schedule – commissioning phase.You will have the following qualifications & experience
Relevant degree within role experience preferred. HNC/HNC discipline specific qualification with extensive experience may be considered.
Experience on an Upper Tier COMAH site preferable.
Working knowledge of CDM.Get in touch now
