Role Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual looking to start a career in accountancy. The successful candidate will gain exposure to financial reporting, taxation, and business advisory services while working towards a professional qualification. This hands-on role will involve working closely with experienced accountants, learning key industry skills, and building strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

* Assisting in the preparation of financial accounts and reports for clients

* Supporting the preparation of tax returns and VAT submissions

* Conducting bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records

* Engaging with clients to collect necessary documentation and resolve queries

* Contributing to audit and assurance projects under supervision

* Keeping up to date with changes in financial regulations and compliance requirements

* Supporting senior accountants with financial analysis and data interpretation

What We Are Looking For

* A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline (or relevant experience)

* A keen interest in accountancy and a willingness to learn

* Strong numerical ability with excellent attention to detail

* Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients

* Strong time management and organizational skills

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn accounting software

* Commitment to obtaining a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
