About the Role
Our client, a leading engineering services provider within the water industry, is seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to take on a pivotal role in the commissioning of electrical systems and equipment across water treatment and distribution projects.
The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of electrical commissioning within a water sector environment, with a proven track record of ensuring systems are safely and effectively brought online. The majority of the work will be conducted on-site, either in York or Cheshire, although there will be occasional flexibility for remote working.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the commissioning of electrical equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Perform pre-commissioning checks, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and functional testing of electrical systems.
Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant electrical systems.
Conduct site inspections, assess risk, and maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Prepare detailed commissioning documentation, including reports, checklists, and testing records.
Ensure adherence to project timelines, maintaining a high standard of quality and client satisfaction. Required Experience
Extensive experience in electrical commissioning, ideally within the water or utilities sector.
Strong working knowledge of water industry regulations, electrical safety standards, and commissioning protocols.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and specifications.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues swiftly and effectively. Personal Attributes
