MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious precision engineering/manufacturing client, based in Northumberland, by recruiting a permanent Quality Assurance Technician to join their growing team. A successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that a supplier reliably supplies goods or services that satisfy the customer’s needs. This process is collaborative to ensure the supplier’s offerings meet the agreed-upon requirements with minimum inspection or modification. The Job You’ll Do;

* Working closely with customer engineers through the life cycle of product development projects.

* Developing and maintaining quality control measures through the project.

* You will be responsible for identifying and onboarding suppliers in tandem with the purchasing department

* This will include on-site vendor audits, undertaking any relevant tasks to ensure supplier suitability.

* You will be responsible for ongoing supplier management activity, such as implementing supplier score carding and CAPA.

* You will also be instrumental in helping the company work towards industry specific standards, such as ISO etc.

About You;

* Have experience within a supplier facing quality role or relevant experience within a similar role.

* Have a recognised Quality or Engineering discipline i.e., ONC, HNC, NVQ, C&G, or BTEC

* Experienced in aerospace or automotive industry standards, procedures & practices

* Working practical knowledge of ISO Quality Systems, customer specific requirements and

* APQP/PPAP requirements

* Shall be familiar with Quality core tools FMEA, Control Plans Kaizen and CI
