On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a C# .NET Developer for an initial 6 month contract based in London with remote work available.

Purpose of the Role:

As a C# .NET Developer you will be working on a primary trade capture, position management and confirmation application for the Credit Trading business, servicing the Flow and Structured Credit Derivative trading activities for a European Tier 1 investment bank. Candidates will need a strong background in C#.Net development (preferably .Net Core) and have experience of multi-threaded, asynchronous, multi-tiered systems.

Responsibilities of the role:

As a C# .NET Developer you will be responsible for:

Working alongside the existing development team helping with the development of components in a mature trade booking system and more newly developed cashflow management system. New back-end work will be developed in C# .Net 6/8 where possible although some older .Net framework services also exist, which may need enhancing and maintaining.
Front ends are developed in HTML5/Angular 16/17, Typescript 4 and HTML5\Angular JS.
Turn specifications into industrial-strength software solutions using techniques like Domain Driven Design is essential, as is the desire and ability to gain an understanding of the underlying business processes.
Developers are also expected to take full responsibility for their work up to delivery into the production environment, as well as providing documentation and some post-release support, including analysing problems or providing the support team with information.
You will be working in a global development team where effective communication and collaboration is essential.

What we require from the candidate:

Strong experience of implementing C#.NET Windows and Web Services.
Experience with C#/.NET 6/8 (.NET Framework 4.5 and above also useful)
Experience with ASP.NET / ASP.NET core.
Angular.
Exposure to HTML 5 / AngularJS / Typescript / JavaScript.
Good problem solving and analytical skills.
Evidence of the ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure.
An ability to critique and communicate ideas in an effective way both written and orally.
Banking experience, especially in OTC Derivatives Trade Processing, is preferred but not essential.
