Salary: £22,102.72 - £23,621.50 (Pro ratad salary £25,729.60 - £28,059.60)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent, Term-time only

About the SEN School

Opening in Summer 2025, this is a brand-new, purpose-built special school dedicated to supporting children and young people with ASC and SEMH needs. Their vision is to create a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where every student can thrive.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in shaping the culture and learning environment of our school from the very start.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant you will support students in their educational, social, and emotional development by:

Assisting teachers in delivering engaging, tailored lessons.
Providing one-to-one and small group support to enhance student learning.
Supporting students in line with their Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation through agreed strategies.
Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Supporting students with personal care when needed, in a dignified and respectful manner.
Monitoring and recording student progress, providing valuable feedback to teachers and families.This role is varied, requiring flexibility and a willingness to contribute to different areas as needed.

Experience working with children, ideally in a SEND or educational setting (preferred but not essential).
A passion for supporting children with ASC and SEMH needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential.Apply Now!
