Attendance and Administrative Support Officer
Location: Cheltenham, UK
Salary: £12.00 - £12.50 per hour
Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: 6-week contract starting in November
We are looking for an efficient and organised Attendance Administrator to join our busy attendance office at a Cheltenham-based school. This role is perfect for someone with experience in a school environment who can manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and ensure smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and record student attendance accurately, following up on absences by contacting parents/guardians.
* Chase up on student attendance issues to ensure compliance with school policies.
* Prepare daily and weekly attendance reports for senior staff.
* Assist with general administration for both students and teachers, ensuring the office runs smoothly.
* Organise and coordinate cover for absent teachers, making appropriate arrangements to minimise disruption to classes.
* Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies as required.
Key Requirements:
* Previous experience working in a school setting is highly desirable.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficient in using IT systems, including Microsoft Office.
* Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to handle sensitive information with discretion.
