Are you a primary teacher wanting to make the transition in to SEND?

Temporary to Permanent vacancy - ASAP start
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated primary SEND Teacher to join our educational team at our lovely school in Chelmsford. The role will be a key stage 2 class for students with severe learning difficulties.

The class size of 7 students, will be supported with 3 teaching assistants.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for children, particularly within primary settings. This role involves educating and mentoring young learners, ensuring their developmental needs are met while providing engaging and interactive lessons.

Responsibilities

* Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the educational needs of children.

* Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning and exploration.

* Provide individualised support to students, including tutoring and mentoring as needed.

* Engage in toddler care, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children under your supervision.

* Conduct assessments to track student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.

* Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support children's educational journeys.

* Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

* Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

The person

* Strong background in primary education, with experience in preschool settings preferred.

* Proficient in proofreading educational materials to ensure clarity and accuracy.

* Experience working with children, demonstrating patience and understanding in diverse situations.

* Knowledge of effective tutoring techniques to support individual learning needs.

* Ability to provide quality childcare while promoting educational growth through play-based learning.

* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
