As an Art and Design Teacher, your responsibilities include:

Teaching engaging and varied lessons in Art and Design, using a range of artistic techniques and mediums.
Encouraging students to develop their creativity, refine their artistic talents, and express themselves through their work.
Creating and delivering imaginative lesson plans that align with curriculum requirements.
Monitoring and assessing student progress, offering feedback to support their artistic development.
Preparing students for exams and coursework, providing extra support when necessary.
Establishing a stimulating and inclusive studio environment that fosters artistic exploration and expression.
Working with colleagues to enhance the art curriculum and organise exhibitions to showcase student artwork.
The successful Art and Design Teacher will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant qualifications in Art and Design.
Have experience teaching Art and Design at the school level.
Be passionate about art, with a creative approach to teaching the subject.
Be willing to pursue further training and professional development.
Possess strong communication skills and the ability to connect with and inspire young people.
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
