The primary focus of this position is to coordinate the movement of goods in conjunction with the FLM, ensuring that pickups and deliveries occur within the designated timeframes. This coordination involves the use of transportation management systems to track routes and maintain communication with drivers and delivery personnel. Adhering to all transportation regulations and safety standards is a vital aspect of the role to ensure the well-being of both the transportation process and the personnel involved.

The Candidate;

Previous experience within a fast paced transport coordinator position
Previous experience of working within a transport office
Experience in customer-facing roles or customer service
Familiarity with TMS Systems
Understanding of Transport Operations
Knowledge of Transport Regulations
General haulage and pallet network experience is desirable
Good geographical knowledge of the UK
Strong customer service skills
Confident on the phone
Duties and Responsibilities;

Coordinates movement of goods with the FLM
Ensures timely pickups and deliveries
Uses transportation management systems for route tracking and communication
Adheres to transportation regulations and safety standards
Offers exceptional customer service
Addresses inquiries and resolves transportation-related issues promptly
Maintains positive relationships with drivers, colleagues, and clients
Tackles unforeseen transportation challenges
Implements effective solutions to minimize disruptions
Focuses on environmental sustainability
Collaborates with Transport Planner for eco-friendly practices
Aligns with company's commitment to environmental sustainability
Supervising and managing driver workloads
