Job Overview:

They are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Primary Teacher to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and supporting primary-aged students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. This role includes some planning, implementing individualised education plans adapting teaching methods, and working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure each child’s unique needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan, prepare, and deliver tailored lessons that cater to the individual needs of SEND students.

* Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage and support students with diverse learning needs.

* Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure academic and personal development.

* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.

* Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other support staff to provide comprehensive support to students.

* Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.

* Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEND education.

* Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and development.

Qualifications:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) ECTs Welcome to Apply!

* Proven experience teaching primary-aged children, particularly those with SEND.

* Strong understanding of various SEND conditions and effective teaching strategies.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Patience, empathy, and a commitment to providing high-quality education for all students.

* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

* Knowledge of current SEND legislation and best practices.
