Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to join our clients team, a leading precast concrete manufacturer. The QA Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet or exceed quality standards and industry specifications. This role will involve close collaboration with production teams, engineers, and management to uphold quality protocols and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control & Inspection:

* Conduct daily inspections of precast concrete products at various stages of production, including raw material intake, in-process manufacturing, and final product testing.

* Ensure all products meet company standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI, ASTM, etc.).

* Perform dimensional checks, strength testing, and visual inspections for defects like cracks, voids, and structural inconsistencies.

* Ensure reinforcement placement, concrete mix design, and curing processes are in line with specifications.

Documentation & Reporting:

* Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and any non-conformance issues.

* Generate quality reports, provide detailed feedback to production teams, and track corrective actions.

* Maintain QA documentation and ensure that all records are compliant with internal and external audits.

Compliance & Standards:

* Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulatory changes.

Process Improvement:

* Identify potential quality issues and proactively suggest process improvements.

* Collaborate with production, engineering, and project management teams to resolve quality-related problems.

* Participate in root cause analysis for defects or issues and recommend corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.

Qualifications and skills:

* Qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred. A combination of relevant experience and education will also be considered.

* 2+ years of experience in quality assurance/control, preferably in the precast concrete or construction materials industry.

* Familiarity with quality standards and testing methods for concrete (e.g., ASTM, ACI).

* Hands-on experience with concrete mix designs, curing processes, and precast production.

* Strong knowledge of concrete properties, precast production methods, and testing procedures.

* Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

* Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities.

* Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
