Staff Engagement Officer – The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Staff Engagement officer to make a big difference by helping us shape and deliver our staff engagement strategy and action plan to achieve our strategic priorities. With your expertise, experience and enthusiasm, you will be responsible for developing and implementing creative, targeted staff engagement activities.
Working with us in the L&D, HR and Project & Change teams, you will create engaging ways to support the delivery of our people activities connected to learning, development, management of organisational change, embedding our culture and values, projects and programmes.
Staff Engagement Officer – Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver improvements to the way we listen to, communicate with, engage, and motivate
our people, developing appropriate and targeted channels of communications and
engagement activities that are relevant to the differing needs of our workforce
- Proactively identify and develop opportunities across the business for our people to
have a voice that is listened and responded to
- Design and deliver communication plans for a range of communication channels and
audiences that contribute to organisational change
- Responsibility for developing a forward plan of timely, relevant content across a variety
of platforms that engages our people in the wider operation of our services
- Develop creative and engaging content and recognition opportunities that focus on key
messages as well as showcasing our people and their achievements
- Plan and deliver a series of events to include internal staff engagement events as well as
external profile-raising events such as career/recruitment fairs that attract future
employees
Staff Engagement Officer – You:
- GCSEs (5 A-Cs or equivalent, including Maths and English)
- Relevant degree and/or professional qualification e.g. CIPR, CIM, IIC or equivalent
experience
- Experience of implementing internal communications campaigns
- Experience of writing engaging content
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Creative flair and ability to translate CBC’s priorities and values into communication
plans that support our organisation’s objectives
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines
- Great interpersonal skills and ability to work with different teams and colleagues to
achieve positive solutions and outcomes
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret information and identify inaccuracies
- Experience of delivering internal communications channels, including videoing, face-to
face events, posters etc
- Experience of using design packages such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva and Adobe
packages etc to create simple, engaging graphics
