Position: Electrical Estimator

Location: Salford

Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday - Friday

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join a successful M&E estimating/procurement department at a leading contractor. 

Key Responsibilities:

M&E background with an electrical bias.

Experience and knowledge of estimating software.

Leverage your understanding of the local supply chain.

Read and take off drawings using software like Bluebeam.

Review, analyse, and comment on cost plans based on high-level design information.

Work independently with minimal supervision.

Engage in procurement of supplier and subcontractor packages.

Communicate effectively and negotiate with the supply chain.

Understand D&B contracts and prioritise health & safety.

Collaborate within a close-knit team of M&E professionals.

Report to the Managing Surveyor/Commercial Manager.

Who We Are Looking For:

Demonstrable experience in a similar role.

Minimum qualification: HNC, HND level.

Proficiency in Microsoft packages.

Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Experience with estimating software (e.g., Xtreme Estimating) is an advantage.

Knowledge of the local supply chain is beneficial
