Sewell Wallis is working with a forward-thinking global company based out of Worksop, who are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a flexible rolling contract. Flexible working is on offer there are part time and full time options available. The contract will potentially evolve into a permanent contract, in which you'll be in an excellent position, as are tons of progression opportunities and study support, you'll be joining a team that values and invests in you. They're looking for someone intuitive, driven and keen to succeed!

What will you be doing?

Reconciliation and processing of prepayments, accruals and standard charges
Balance Sheet reconciliation
Producing Monthly Accounts for overhead cost centres.
Completion of national statistics returns.
Processing Inter-company Journals.
Replenishing and reconciling petty cash.
Preparation of the budgets and forecasts
Monthly accounts for overhead costs
Quarterly preparation of VAT returns
Assist with the preparation of Statutory Accounts and Tax packs
Reconciliation of PSA to ensure correct calculation and submissions to HMRC.
Processing journals
Reconciliation of fixed asset control
Management of company credit cards What skills are we looking for?

Studying towards an accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA).
Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills - including V-lookups and pivot tables.
Confident communicator, both verbally and written.
Attention to detail
Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliations.What's on offer?
