We're currently recruiting a Nights Logistics Co-Ordinator for a Global Logistics Company based in Redditch. The company have specialist teams, experienced in world-wide logistics.

Overall Purpose / Scope of Position:

As a key member of the team, this role involves working as a Nights Logistics Co-Ordinator to ensure that the company is able to deliver outstanding and world class services 24/7.

You are responsible for tracking shipments, liaising with customers and suppliers globally, quoting for transport, completing administrative tasks and effective and reliable communication with the dayshift team members

Responsible for:

* Tracking shipments

* Organising transport

* Managing customer enquiries

* Managing carriers

* Completing job updates

* Updating KPIs

* Ensuring continuity of service

Key Result Areas:

* Customer satisfaction

* Cost reduction and improved efficiency

* Achieving KPI targets

* Business growth and development

* Management and development of suppliers

* Issue resolution and improvements

* Effective communication

* Supporting improvement activity

Working hours: Tuesday – Friday 18.00 till 06.00hrs. As the freight industry can be unpredictable, the hours will at times require flexibility.

The successful candidate will have proven experience within a similar position and the following personal competencies:

* Must be able to work in a lone working environment

* Self-managing with good attention to detail

* Highly organised with the ability to remain focused under pressure

* Methodical and thorough approach to work

* Must have a good level of English and Maths

* Must have strong geographical UK knowledge

* Must be computer literate including MS Office, email, spreadsheets and transport databases

* Ability to multi-task and juggle priorities to meet requirements

* Ability to adhere to processes

* Must have a ‘Can Do Attitude’ and a desire to improve

* Flexible – a “team player”
