Freelance Quantity Surveyor – Leeds City Centre
Up to £450 per day (Umbrella)

We are looking for a Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support a student residential project on behalf of our client. This is a site-based role working with the Senior QS to manage the day-to-day commercial aspects of the project.

The Role:
Key responsibilities include:

Preparing and managing monthly applications and valuations.
Handling subcontractor variations.
Supporting the project team with day-to-day commercial activities.
Site based. 

The Project:

257-bed student accommodation (office-to-residential conversion with a three-story extension).
Project value: £22 million.
Location: Leeds City Centre (10-15 minute walk from Leeds train station limited parking available).
Duration: Ongoing, with project completion expected June 2025.
Includes a 1-month handover period.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
Proficiency in managing valuations, subcontractor accounts, and commercial tasks.
Availability to start as soon as possible.

Rate:

Up to £450 per day (Umbrella)
