About the Principal Engineer opportunity
 
My client is undergoing a major transition to electrified powertrains for its range of vehicles and they are looking for a Principal Engineer who will be responsible for the development of e-drive Control Systems, Functional Safety, Testing and Software Quality
 
Principal Engineer Deliverables

Development of Validation Tests, Electrical Bench Tests and Hardware in the Loop and vehicle testing
Development of e-drive power electronics control systems and the design of control algorithms
Functional Safety Analysis; System and Hardware DFMEA Principal Engineer Person Requirements

10 years+ real-time Control Systems experience
Electric Drive Software Development
Experience developing Testing Control algorithms using Matlab / Simulink
Automotive Software Quality Relevant tools and further experience

Expert user of Calibration tools; INCA, CANalyzer, CANape
Matlab / Simulink
Communication protocols: CAN/ CAN FD Tags
