My client is an established regional contractor in the East Midlands and with continued growth are actively recruiting for a Groundworks Site Engineer in Nottingham.

Working on both new build housing developments and social housing projects, Site Engineers will be responsible for:

* Setting out drainage, earthworks, external works, foundations, landscaping, roads, sewers, and substructure packages.

* Planning, scheduling and managing subcontractor operations.

* Measuring and ordering required materials.

* Quality checks.

* Effectively influencing the progress on sites and ensuring programme deadlines are met.

* Developing effective relationships and dealing with clients and subcontractors.

* Working closely with all other team members to ensure that the Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety aspects of the work are adhered to on site.

* Mentoring and training junior staff.

* Maintaining IMS, policies and procedures.

Successful candidates will possess:

* HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering.

* Minimum of 5 years site engineering in the commercial/resdiential groundworks sectors.

* Experience in adoptable drainage and roads.

* IT proficency with MS Office and AutoCAD software.

* Conversant with Leica TS15/16 EDM kit.

* Full UK driving licence to allow travel to live sites.
