School Librarian (Secondary School, Tower Hamlets)

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage and develop the school library ? (including Sixth Form) to promote reading for pleasure and support independent learning.

* Mentor students, enhancing their research and information-handling skills ?.

* Organize engaging literacy initiatives ? and home-school projects to involve families.

* Ensure the library resources are well-maintained, including both printed and digital materials ?️.

* Liaise with staff and external agencies to meet the learning needs of students.

* Oversee library policies, health & safety, and copyright compliance ⚖️.

* Manage the library budget and resources efficiently ?.

* First Aid trained to assist in case of any emergencies ?.

Skills Required:

* Passionate about literacy and education ?.

* Strong communication and organizational skills ✨.

* Competent with ICT and resource management ?.

* First Aid certification (training can be provided if needed)
