Service Manager - Fire and CCTV
We are looking for an Assistant Service Manager to join a reputable and well regarding Fire and CCTV business in Nottingham.
Reporting into the Service Manager, you will be charged with supporting the smooth running of the Engineering teams. Ensuring work is carried out on time, revenue targets are achieved, and all PPM work is up to date.
You will be predominantly based at the offices in Nottingham and from home, however some travel to site is required, to provide guidance and instruction to field-based and office-based staff.
Duties will include
* Ensure all servicing is completed on time, in a competent and commercially viable manner.
* Discuss overdue PPM’s and actions to bring/keep up to date.
* Achieve company service revenue turnover and margin revenue targets. Focusing engineers to maximise revenue and discuss with area supervisors’ opportunities that may have been missed or could be improved through training & guidance.
* Continuously review and action overdue/outstanding works.
* Where necessary re-organise service areas to suit business needs.
* Prepare and present monthly service statistics. These include overdue PPM’s, outstanding work, quotations completed, recommendations for additional works,
* Prepare RAMS for different site work when required.
* Oversee/organise monitoring connections for all new and existing projects including key holder information and changes (e.g. Redcare, Dualcom, Emizon, etc.).
* Supervise Fire/Intruder/CCTV monitoring and follow up any issues with false alarms, excessive activations, site incidents on monitored sites.
* Investigate customer complaints to a suitable conclusion.
* Complete engineer performance reviews on a regular basis and follow up any actions agreed.
* Conduct interviews for new employees where required and select most appropriate persons upon completion.
* Manage and monitor staff training matrix, organise various training where required, this could be in house or manufacturer online or site based.
* Be proactive, help build the department, bring ideas to the table such as economic savings, productivity increases, monetary gains.
Key Skills, Experience & Knowledge
* The ideal candidate will have worked within Fire or Security however we are accepting application from service managers (or similar) from other engineering backgrounds.
* Be able to make decisions with sound reasoning and justification.
* Capable of providing input and support to an existing team.
* Clear precise communicator.
* Be responsible and able to follow through tasks to completion.
* Capable of multitasking.
* Organised and controlled.
* IT literate.
* Open to learning new skills.
Benefits, Pay & Working Hours
* A basic salary of up to £40,000 per annum
* Monthly bonus based on departmental performance (£400 per month)
