Our client, is currently seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join their team in Eastleigh on a permanent, part-time basis. This hybrid role offers flexible working hours with a weekly office presence required.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing the submission of Corporation Tax computations and returns, VAT returns and returns to HMRC in compliance with relevant legislation and within time limits
Ensuring that tax disclosures within the year-end accounts are calculated in accordance with relevant legislation and accounting standards
Assisting Payroll and HR with employment tax matters as required
Maintaining arrangements for documentation, review, and sign-off of appropriate controls for tax-related matters, ensuring compliance with Senior Accounting Officer legislation
Developing and managing direct report to this role
Building and maintaining relationships with HMRC, including regular written and face-to-face contact

Job Requirements:

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate effectively to people at all levels
A broad understanding of CT, VAT, and IPT, with commercial awareness of the business environment
Ability to understand, evaluate, and interpret various financial data, identifying inconsistencies
ACA, ATT qualification, preferably with post-qualification experience
Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with directors, managers, external parties, and colleagues
Proficiency in spreadsheet software, particularly Microsoft Excel
