✅ 08:30 - 17:30, 5 days per week
✅ 1 to 2 weekends per month (time in off lieu offered)
The Burford Recruitment Company is seeking a highly efficient and proactive Head Housekeeper for a large secondary residence in the beautiful Cotswolds, owned by an UHNW family. This is a live-out position requiring an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the home, ensuring all areas are spotless at all times
* Oversee all cleaning tasks, including polishing, dusting, vacuuming, and laundry care, with specific attention to high-end luxury garments
* Manage and maintain all cleaning supplies, equipment, and household amenities
* Train and supervise a small team of housekeepers, ensuring consistent quality and efficiency
* Collaborate closely with the Estate Manager to ensure synchronised schedules and seamless household operations
* Uphold strict confidentiality, ensuring discretion and respect for the family’s privacy at all times
* Handle both formal and informal settings with ease, adapting to the needs of the household, whether during private family moments or when guests are present
* Assist with packing and unpacking for the principals as needed
* Demonstrate a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to any household issues that arise
Requirements
* Extensive experience in UHNW households, with a deep understanding of maintaining exceptional standards in a high-pressure environment
* Excellent communication skills, organisational abilities, and the capacity to think independently in a dynamic household
* Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing family plans and requirements on short notice
* Discretion and the ability to maintain the privacy and security of the household
* A valid driving license and access to a personal vehicle due to the remote nature of the location
