Head SOMMELIER required for a prestigious hotel in the Malmesbury area.

Candidates for the vacancy of Head SOMMELIER, require Michelin experience, along with an outstanding track record for delivering impeccable hospitality as a Head Sommelier, someone with a real passion for wines, cocktails, beers and beverage who brings experience of high end service.

As Head Sommelier, you will work as a key member of our Food and Beverage team, leading and developing the team to maximise sales across all outlets and coaching and up-skilling the food service team to develop their understanding of wine and beverage.

As Head SOMMELIER the ideal candidate will have:

A very strong background, working ideally as Head Sommelier in a Michelin setting

Impeccable guest service skills with a background of exceeding guest expectations

A passion for great wines accompanied by an appetite to build and share knowledge

As Head Sommelier, you will understand the workings of a well-managed cellar and demonstrate the highest attention to detail - you will be highly organised

Proven experience as Head Sommelier with a very strong understanding of wine pairing

Excellent standard of written and spoken English

An engaging personality with a flair for communication at all levels

Immaculate personal presentation

WSET Qualifications

The salary for Head SOMMELIER is given as COMPETITIVE. Live in may be a possibility but only on a temporary basis, however transport would be required due to location.
