Job Overview: We are seeking a Finance Partner to play a pivotal role in ensuring financial precision and supporting the leadership team in achieving both operational and financial objectives. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on analysing complex data, providing insightful financial guidance, and taking ownership of key forecasting and budgeting processes. As a Finance Business Partner / Finance Analyst, you will work closely with senior leaders to drive performance and business outcomes, overseeing financial management and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
The salary for this role is between £40,000 - £45,000.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the timely and accurate delivery of financial schedules, ensuring quality standards are met.
Foster collaboration between key stakeholders to achieve shared business objectives.
Ensure the application of financial standards, policies, and controls to mitigate risks and maintain alignment between business activities and accounting requirements.
Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy and operational needs.
Provide comprehensive and transparent financial reporting, including P&L statements and KPIs, to aid in strategic decision-making.
Offer actionable financial insights to drive profitability, cost management, and operational efficiency.
Analyse revenue, expenditure, and performance metrics to highlight trends and opportunities for improvement.
Convert operational data into meaningful insights, presenting actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
Design and implement new performance metrics, ensuring they remain relevant and aligned with business goals.
Challenge resource allocation plans and identify opportunities to optimize staffing and operational margins.
Ensure financial records and documentation meet all compliance and audit standards.
Support business units in financial planning and ensure the smooth execution of financial tasks.
Gather and analyse financial data to inform critical decision-making processes.Skills and Experience Required:
Professional qualification in accounting (or progress towards qualification) with experience in financial management, planning, and analysis.
Advanced analytical and systems skills, with proficiency in tools such as Excel, financial planning software (e.g., Hyperion, Workday—preferred but not mandatory).
Strong business acumen and understanding of how operational decisions impact financial performance.
Effective communicator with excellent presentation skills and the ability to influence and manage expectations at all organizational levels, including senior leadership.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and apply problem-solving skills to drive business decisions.
Quick to adapt to new information and processes, applying it effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate within diverse global teams.
