Job Title: Wood Machinist
Location: Hadleigh, Suffolk
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Working Hours: 40 hours per week

We are looking for a general wood machinist for a carpentry firm in the outskirts of Hadleigh Suffolk.

This is a multi-skilled role which will have you working across various manual machines within the company's mill.

You do not need to be a fully-fledged carpenter / joiner for this role. It is better suited to a skilled labourer who has some manual machining experience.

You will need to have a strong working knowledge of basic carpentry & you will be expected to be able to work independently.

Machinist duties include: -

Operating a variety of machinery such as router, spindle moulders, saws etc.
Reading from traditional cutting lists & able to prepare materials prior to machining
Operate basic hand & power tools for any adjustments as and when required for the job
Carry out routine health & safety in the workshop
Keep a clean and tidy work station

You will need to be familiar with basic woodworking machinery, such as saws, drills, sanders, etc.

Hours of work are 07:30-17:00 with an early finish on Fridays. Overtime available increased rates of pay.
