* Salary – upto £39.5k (OTE £50K)

* 40 hours working week, 08.00 – 16.30 hours

Main Responsibilities of the Generator Engineer:

Experienced Workshop engineer covering the below on various Heavy Plant Machinery.

* Carry out minor and major services to diesel engine generator sets at customer sites

* Visit customer sites to perform site surveys in order to assist in project design and proposals

* Visit customer sites to perform, but not limited to, diesel generator installations

* Visit customer sites to perform commissioning in liaison with electrical contractors

* Emergency call outs to customer breakdowns

* Control system wiring

* PLC / Deep Sea / Deif programming work

* Experience in Load banking all sizes of generators

* Attendance at relevant product training courses

* Prepared to work unsociable hours

Work experience requirements for the Generator Engineer:

* Strong background in Plant industry essential.

* NVQ Level 3 Plant Maintenance or equivalent.

* CSCS card holder is preferred

* Experience of diagnostic tools and computer software including Engine diagnostics

* Ability to thrive and succeed in a busy, ever-changing environment

* Excellent level of attention to detail and conscientiousness

* Preferred dealer experience but not essential

* Must be able to travel outside of the UK to attend manufacturers training courses.
