Unique School Solutions are working with a wonderful Rotherham Primary School (S63) to recruit a SEND EYFS Teaching Assistant to support a child on a 1:1 basis.

This is a full-time, term time only position to start as soon as possible. Initially, this role will be temporary for a period of 12 school weeks but could be made permanent following the successful completion of this probation.

The hours for this role are 8:30am – 3:30pm Monday to Friday term time only.

Successful candidates are expected to be passionate about making a difference to children and will be working closely with class teachers and other school staff. They will provide a high quality of support and communication with their students and be able to work in small groups.

About the role/candidate:

- Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification or care qualification and have experience working with children aged 3-5 years.

- Supporting SEND students on a 1:1 teaching and learning in EYFS following the school’s curriculum.

- Experience of SEND including autism.

- To work in partnership with the class teacher to measure the impact and evaluation of teaching and learning.

- To support children with learning through play, encouraging pupils to interact with peers and engage in activities.

- To liaise with external agencies and parents/carers when required.

- To be part of the wider school community when required.
