Senior Hardware Design Engineer

Salary: up to £65k

Location: Witchford (near Ely), Cambridgeshire

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Are you a skilled Senior Hardware Design Engineer looking for an opportunity in the digital video and AI/ML technology industry? Our research and development team is looking for an experienced engineer to play a critical role in the design and development of embedded computer and digital video products. This is a chance to work at the forefront of technology, collaborating with a dynamic team of Electronics and Software Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

Hardware design for new product development from feasibility to production

Schematic design using Cadence/OrCAD/Altium software

PCB layout review and design documentation preparation

Support throughout the product development lifecycle including prototyping, functional testing, and validation

Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to define customer solutions and offer support

Required Skills:

5+ years of experience in high-speed digital design

Proficient in interfaces such as PCIe, USB, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, and serial communication protocols

Familiarity with video interfaces (e.g., HDMI/DVI, HD-SDI, DP, VGA, Composite)

Hands-on experience with programmable logic, FPGA, microcontrollers, and multilayer high-speed PCB design

Proficiency in C/C++ programming

Degree-qualified with strong working knowledge of MS Office applications
