Supporting a Young Child's Journey

Randstad Tuition Services is seeking a compassionate and patient home tutor to provide individualised support for a young child before their transition to a specialist school later this year.

What You'll Do:

Build a strong and trusting relationship with the child, encouraging engagement and a love of learning.
Utilise play-based and therapeutic techniques to support emotional and social development.
Adapt learning strategies to meet the child's unique needs and interests.
Introduce academic tuition as the child gains confidence and engagement.
Monitor progress and adjust teaching methods as needed.
Work closely with parents/carers to ensure a consistent and supportive approach.
Who You Are:

You have a passion for helping children with SEN and SEMH needs.
You are skilled in using alternative communication styles and creative approaches to learning.
You are patient, nurturing, and genuinely care about making a difference in a child's life.
Essential Requirements:

Experience working with children with SEN and SEMH needs.
Experience using alternative communication styles with children.
A patient, nurturing, and creative approach to learning.
DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
Ability to use therapeutic and play-based techniques to build engagement.
Desirable Requirements:

BSL (British Sign Language) qualification or knowledge.
Experience working within an educational or therapeutic setting.
Driving License
What We Offer:

Hours: 6 hours per week (potential increase to 15 hours based on engagement)
Pay: £32 per hour
