Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive teaching assistant to join a supportive primary school in the B31 area. This role will involve working with students with additional needs, either one-to-one or in small groups, helping them engage with learning, develop confidence, and make progress in an inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide one-to-one support to students with SEND, helping them access the curriculum

* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and structured lessons

* Use Makaton and communication strategies to support children with speech and language needs

* Create a positive, nurturing learning environment that encourages independence

* Work closely with SENCOs and external professionals to implement effective learning plans

Required Experience

* Experience working in mainstream SEND settings

* One-to-one SEND support experience is desirable

* Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is beneficial but not essential

* A patient and adaptable approach, with strong communication skills
