We have a role available for a Transport Yard Co-Ordinator.  The purpose of this role is to ensure customers’ orders are delivered to the highest standards in a fast-paced environment. You’ll provide excellent organisation skills within the Transport Department whilst operating within a safe working environment and ensuring legal compliance to all Health & Safety standards. The hours of work are 06:30 – 15:00 Monday to Friday with overtime when required. 

More About the Role:

Pick computer generated orders with repetitive handling/lifting of heavy and large items.
Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team and on your own.
Transferring stock to its location using a Forklift truck.
Organising and arranging the loading of all windows and doors ready for next day deliveries.
Short/ long distance driving, if required.
Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customers’ orders.
Maintain high levels of Health and Safety.
Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements.
Assist in warehouse inventory controls using handheld scanners.
Handle stock with care, promptly reporting damages or shortages.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse.
Ensure efficient operations by following operational procedures, rules, and schedules.
Loading and checking all deliveries are scanned out and complete.
Unloading and checking glass deliveries.

About You

Ideally experience in a transport environment.
Excellent communication skills and numerical skills.
Positive and flexible attitude to work.
Strong attention to detail to ensure documentation is correct and error free.
Comfortable working to tight deadlines.
Health & Safety awareness.
Clean driving licence.
Must be over 25 years of age for fleet insurance.
